My Dream Nokia #6: Nokia Aura (NX) Super Stylish MeeGo Concept. Slim. Sleek. Simple
Morning. Let’s brighten up Sunday with “My Dream Nokia” #6 – The Nokia Aura. This is a truly beautiful design by ____ (name on design, not disclosed in text as requested to prevent google mining).
As you can see, it’s a slim 4″ MeeGo handset with 12MP camera, xenon flash, and HDMI. Pretty much N8 with a bigger screen and very pleasing design.
Words from the designer:
I think Nokia makes really good phones hardware wise, but I’m not that fond of their design. Design is of course always a subjective thing, but nevertheless I wanted to make a Nokia phone that I’d really like to see in the future.
The concept, N-series Nokia Aura, is supposed to be a very high end Nokia that not only has the top specs but comes with simplistic but slim design. The body is all metal, and the shape of the body is convex. I think convex feels better in one’s hand and it also makes the phone to stand out more easily. I also wanted to make the screen convex as well, but I’m not sure if the technology is there yet and I wanted to make the phone as productable as possible. The rest of the specs can be seen from the the other picture.
I would love to see a similar design in future Nokias. Technology wise, it’s all possible right now. Check out the Nokia N8. The convex top profile is very alluring.

About “My Dream Nokia”
I’m sure you’ve dreamt up your PERFECT Nokia phone. What it would look like, what it would feel like, what features it would have. Why don’t you share it with the world? Or at least with other Nokia fans
.
It could be your own photoshopped or rendered work (seriously, you don’t need mega skills in either, basic paint job is often enough to convey a concept) of your dream product.
SEND this in similarly to tips@mynokiablog.com with the title “My Dream Nokia” and perhaps the model number (and a little description, maybe a few specs in the message area? Though this bit not necessary).
Who knows, maybe an image might flutter over to Nokia and through whatever route end up being real.

I dont like the way it looks from front. Looks like Tmobile’s G1. Other than that it looks just fine.
Wow, this actually looks like it was designed by Nokia.
Wow… This is the most awesome looking nokia device I have ever seen. Hope nokia makes a design similar to this….
it resembles the c6-01 but just “better”
I like it. Looks like a C6-01 with C7 thickness

Lol, isn’t the name put in the right bottom of the pictures ??
#
I know :p that’s why as you quoted it says “name on design” i.e. on the picture
the designer didn’t want their name down in text because google would index it, but it can’t (or maybe it can, damn you google) index text on images.
what’s the point? , it’s already indexed
Haha, it’s ugly, too thin, at least 13-15mm on the waistline, please!
And that on/off button is totally off-putting
Ohhh…that’s good!!!
If Nokia mades this model…it returns the best ever!!!
A touch phone should have 3 main buttons:
call and close ( such as the C7 )
and a navigation key.
That would solve lots and lots of problems!!!
Well since the trend right now is touchscreen on phones, I agree it needs to have large screen. Since I currently live in a cold country, capacitive tech really hinders usage of the phone during winter, as at that moment I’ll be wearing gloves. I agree with rayan about the buttons, phones need at least 3 physical buttons ( call, end call, context button), but not capacitive buttons. I’m sure, if anything, Nokia implements this method, they are able to add it discretely enough.
as NOKIA die hard fan. this design is awesome and fantastic,,, PLS make this design as Real phone not only show in web page for people comment…
