Video: Qt QML Based QuickFlickr on Nokia N8
Neat little video found by Jim of a very cool Flickr Viewer for the Nokia N8 and other Symbian^3 devices.
This video demonstrates QML based QuickFlickr i.e. Flickr client running on Symbian device (N8). What you see on the video is not the final product and it lacks many features, graphics and it still has several bugs.
Current set of features:
- Authentication with Flickr (doesn’t work on symbian device due the QtWebKit problem with developer packages)
- Latest uploads from contacts,
- Photostreams of your contacts and your own photostream
- Photo details (favorite, views, comments, add comments, description, etc)
- Contact list
- Navigation between different pages

looks interesting it seems like it would be wonderful for flickr users i can never remember my login/pw and yahoo details though lol

I cant wait until the firmware that includes support for QML is released. The QT dev kit has a lot of really neat examples that could easily be tweaked into full fledged apps.
Looks great! I like it a lot.
Would be nice if Nokia finally released the firmware update with the full qwerty portrait keyboard. That’s one of the few things (apart from the crappy browser) that I really don’t like about this phone. Apart from that I think it’s fantastic. Especially the camera and music player are outstanding. Also nice is the Napster-To-Go compatibility and that it even picks up the album art.
