Fun and interesting Qt demo applications

Jim always seems to be running across Qt-based applications and videos, this time he’s tipped us 3 videos of some convenient applications written by the cute hacks team using Qt that I’m sure many of us here could find useful.

The first is a weather application which is significantly better looking and responsive from what I can see than the lovely Accuweather application currently available.

The second is an application that allows you to track your mobile usage in comparison to whatever subscriptions you have with your service provider. This application allows you to track your cost for the month and your running usage of minutes, data and SMS. Of course this app will be nigh on useless without your mobile operator allowing access to this service but it’s a good indicator of what can be achieved using ideas and a little bit of Qt.

The last is a bit on the raw side from the looks of it but allows users to track the status of flights at chosen airports. Again, the usability of such an app is dependent on being able to access this information.

Ah well, Qt might not matter after tomorrow, guess we’ll have to wait and see what happens at CMD.
