Video: Cute Qt Game – DoodleDrive, and mini documentary of its making by Tommi Laukkanen and son
Qt Guru Tommi Laukkanen, creator of TwimGo and NewsFlow has created a simple but very cool game with his son called “DoodleDrive”. What’s great to see in this video is HOW Tommi came about to creating the game, from the graphical design by his young son doodling on paper, transfering to PC, sorting out all the magic via Qt, testing on the N8 simulator and finally on the N8 itself.
My older son was a bit sick today so I stayed home to be with my kids. As usual kids didn’t know what to do and I came up with the idea if we’d create a simple game with help of latest Qt SDK 1.1 Beta that was released a day ago. …and so we did
This is a small “documentary” of the process.

Yeah, Qt really is that powerful at least when you use Qt Quick.
Wow! Now that is nice. That video should be shown to all application developers to show how quickly you can develop something playable.
It is amazing how drawings are made into animated graphics. I wish I knew how to make something like that.
