PR3.0/Symbian Belle on Nokia E7?

@jwf90 tweeted (via @qoyumnasri) about some screenshots from Symbian Belle/PR3.0 on the E7. I thought that might have been any old PR3.0 screenshot pasted on a E7. However, another tweet shows the images below.

The thing they’ve highlighted “list icons” isn’t new. That’s always been there. Although I don’t know what else is in messaging as it seems you can scroll down ( you can’t on S^3, those are the available options). The change of font is certainly welcome. Even Symbian Anna demoes seem to be stuck on Nokia Sans

Note the top shows the app title and the new all encompassing, space saving status bar.

On the right we have that revamped Symbian Anna calendar we saw earlier today. Harking back to perhaps S60 5th and even old S60 days with a month calendar plus day view. That’s a very useful combo especially since we have minimized space wasting with removal of bars. You’ll note the consistent appearance of the status bar (clock/signal everywhere) as well as the bottom toolbar of back, dialler? refresh and options. Why is there a refresh button in calendar, I don’t know. Perhaps to sync?

What I find confusing is why the toolbar at the bottom isn’t consistent. The one on the right should persist most often. Perhaps it could minimise itself WP7 stylie.

Update: Another screenshot. Cheers Viipottaja (@qoyumnasri) Another inconsistent bottom toolbar. Wonderful. -_- Though I do like this more minimalistic look as opposed to the old style messaging interface. I’d love to see how the entire thing looks. As mentioned, nothing ground breaking but it’s what it needed – making steps at least in the right direction. Seems font has returned to Nokia Sans
