Summeli has updated his AntSnes emulator with an updated UI, better controls, compatibility and sound!

The emulator is powered by qt 4.7.3 and thanks to a helpful poster on the Summeli’s site, the qt files can be downloaded here:

“Mr.Helpful says: May 3, 2011 at 20:04 For anybody with the same problem, here’s the latest version of QT (4.7.3).”

*As always, install qt libraries at your own risk.*

And finally, a video demonstration:

Details and download information for AntSnes can be found here:

Enjoy!

  2. Zaxxx says:

Multitouch work very well, and the audio is workin fine still far from perfect but it’s free what better than that. Still waiting for gba emulator, and summeli is also workin for ps1 emulator(don’t expect too much).

  3. Shamal Harkison says:

Btw forum Nokia has advised against using Qt install files from File sharing sites, which is silly because Nokia won’t give them to you without the huge Qt SDK !…

    • Gaz says:

Yes, thats pretty stupid. To get qt-binaries, you need to download a >1gig SDK and compile them, sigh.

BTW that qt zip file isn’t 4.7.3 final. It has a upload date one month before the final release.

      • mja says:

You don’t need to compile anything after installing the SDK, just have qt, qt mobility and qt webkit transferred to your device from the menu if you are on Windows at least.

  4. summeli says:

Come on. Just use the smartinstaller package, and don’t install any strange Qt-libraries.

  5. meegoalltheway says:

    make a youtube clip please

  6. slayer says:

I find it fascinating that no one has downloaded the SDK and shared the latest binaries. too bad I have limited download quota.

  7. Yang says:

Hope to see a full screen version.

  8. Matt says:

Why? SNES isn’t widescreen so it’s a pointless wish.

  9. stylinred says:

    awesome getting now!

  10. Roy says:

It’s actually a pretty good emulator! It runs translated Treasure Hunter G and Mario Kart quitte well. It doesn’t run Mario RPG and it crashes on Chrono Trigger Chrimson Echoes though…

I’m still waiting for a mobile device that can run every game like Zsnes on my PC can. Maybe a WP7 Nokia next year? :D

  11. stylinred says:

i havent been interested in roms for ages

is there a particular rom file format that this supports or does it support all types?

I have been waiting for a GameBoy Advance multitouch emulator for ages, and the waiting continues…

  13. Mapantz says:

qtmobility.sis is corrupted in the file from the download link.

    • Mapantz says:

      And so is qtwebkit.sis ..

      • Deaconclgi says:

        qtwebkit worked for me.

After I uninstalled bubbles, smart installer and big screen I then installed qt.sis and qtwebkit I THEN installed Antsnes_smart.sis and it downloaded a new smart installer and the correct qt files.

        All worked for me then.

I recommend installing the Antsnes with the smart installer. If it doesn’t work, uninstall the smart installer or any old apps such as bubbles or bigscreen and try again.

I am now able to install Coverup 2 and the qt MiniBrowser whereas before the installs kept failing.

        • Mapantz says:

I have qtwebkit.sis and qtmobility.sis from before .. as i have many Qt apps installed, but i presumed the ones in the file were updated? But Ovi suite shows them as corrupt, the qt.sis installed fine.
I don’t use that bubbles crap, or big screen.

  14. Mapantz says:

I’ve given up with it, as soon as i hit ‘continue’ it closed the application. This is clearly unstable.

    • SGean says:

It crashes if you hit continue and there’s no ROM loaded. Other then that it’s alright for me.

      • Mapantz says:

That’s all very well saying that, but where are the ROMS? There’s no information on that, or where you download them or anything.

        • Mapantz says:

I’ve got mario, at changed all the sound settings, the volume is right up, but i can hardly hear it. =/

  15. Bipul says:

Qt libraries inside qtcomponets folder : http://get.qt.nokia.com/qt/symbian/

  16. Mapantz says:

Call me a complainer, but Mario is terrible on it, you can’t jump properly, or carry a shell to jump and fire it. When you have yoshi, he continually jumps off of it.

    • Duncan says:

If you read the developer’s replys on his website you will see that s^3 only supports 2 button presses at a time so a three finger maneuver will not work.

      • Mapantz says:

I’ve uninstalled it now, it started loading a black square in the middle of the screen and making it crash again, i reset the game and even rebooted and it’s still like it. Personally, i think this has too many problems.

  17. ashlie says:

    i came

  18. Nik Rolls says:

Qt 4.7.3 is final, there’s nothing wrong with installing it. The developers can even package the game in Smart Installer and not worry about the libraries.

  19. Peter says:

Works great for me! Love these old games. R-type and Wolverine work great on this.

  20. jingys says:

how can i play snes game on my n81 8gb wit antsnes downloaded the game bt cant find dem wen i load d rom
