Video: Motorola Atrix versus Nokia N8

With the 2011 Motorola Atrix powered by Tegra 2 Dual Core 1GHz, I thought there would be no point watching any comparison video (versus 2010 Symbian^3 phones – all at 680MHz, with that powerhouse GPU) as it would just wipe the floor with them in every aspect. Yes, even though time and time again we’ve talked about that it’s not just about the “GHz”.

I clicked play on this video and expected bloodshed and shame from the Symbian end, but instead it wasn’t as one way as I had assumed.

I don’t know what it is, but in this particular demo the gallery in the Atrix was veeeeery laggy, whilst in contrat it’s the Nokia N8 and Symbian that’s smooth. It’s faster on rotation of images and smoother with image zooming, not to mention the display looks better (at least from this camera view)

You can also see Opera being tested. The N8 is behind but not that far.

That’s only two aspects shown, but its good to see N8 holding well.
