Nokia N9 disassembled. Instructions inside service manual.

| July 15, 2011 | 19 Replies

@SimonLR tweeted that he’d put up the N9 manual online. I must have misread it as he’s put up the service manual on his blog (KnowNokia)/dropbox

Check out the guts of glory inside!

I love exploded view!

Enter from the size to unlock. Then all access is underneath the screen.

The screen that is “bordering on perfection” and “like looking into the eyes of God”

Yeah I dont think im going to try to change the battery. Lets see if Steve Litchfield can swap that battery in under a minute.

    • soussef24 says:

It’s not a symbian phone, so steve can’t really change it in under a minute, it would have been a symbian device he could!

  2. Ninja says:

Apparently they’ve also disassembled that Nokia Windows Phone (“Sea Ray”) device that got leaked, here’s a picture showing the insides: http://t3.gstatic.com/images?q=tbn:ANd9GcTHxK-X9dgfBbA60WPgVed7UA4TDjg7zoh-K3Zh_ni8i-t8mxFSdA

  4. Matt says:

    Fascinating!

Where can I get a Nokia Standard Toolkit (v2) from?

    • j s says:

I’m afraid you can’t. Toolkits are only issued to Nokia Care certified technicians. The tools themselves are of Euopean and/or Japanese origin and are VERY expensive (estimates place the value of the tools around 400 euro). I could be wrong, but I believe they remain the property of Nokia.

  5. Microsoft muppet says:

Enjoy our magnificient experimental OS powered N9 in its naked glory.

    • Jeff says:

      Experimental?
Looking pretty damn solid according everything I’ve read at “decent” sources, + vids etc.

  6. Stuart says:

I wonder if someone can make a full-sized SIM card holder and use that instead. Now that would be a breakthrough. (Some prototypes have the full sized SIM but there doesn’t look like much space is in there.

  7. Arun says:

so this is what i gotta do if i gonna change the housing??

  8. LE55ONS says:

This should help if you want to change the case http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=i9u7r4j0atU

Or if you only need to replace the screen
