Nokia Conversations have done a post on the security features on the N9.

http://conversations.nokia.com/2011/07/21/securing-the-nokia-n9

  • Auto-lock – lock with time intervals, when phone has to wake from sleep or screen unlock.
  • Delete content feature if someone tries to access your phone without knowing passcode.
  • What if you forget the code? There’s a trusted person feature to send that trusted person the code.
  • Alternatively by setting number of tries to unlimited you can turn this off. But leave it on if you think it might be useful (should you lose your phone and not want important information lost)
  • There’s also remote lock if your phone is lost.
  • Nokia Conversation notes that they were using proto N9 without final software build so things may still change.

Cheers ssdh for the tip!
