One thing I hadn’t banked on yielding much information was the FCC ID label.

Here’s the availability list as we last saw it last week.

Availability List:

  • Australia
  • Austria
  • Bulgaria
  • China
  • Croatia
  • Finland
  • Greece
  • Hong Kong
  • Hungary
  • Malaysia
  • New Zealand
  • Portugal
  • Poland
  • Romania
  • Russia
  • Saudi Arabia
  • Serbia
  • Singapore
  • Slovenia
  • Sweden
  • Switzerland
  • United Arab Emirates
  • Vietnam
  • Italy
  • Philippines
  • Indonesia
  • Belgium
  • Brazil

France? Turkey? Belarus? Ukraine? Khazakstan? Thailand? Asia Pacific (e.g. India) –  Bangladesh, Sri-Lanka, Maledives and Nepal. Philippines was already confirmed as an additional country, as was Brazil.

There’s stickers for Taiwan, Costa Rica,  Mexico, South Africa, and Argentina but they may just be for guidance.  Malaysia is already on the original list, as is Australia and New Zealand.

No UK though. Or Germany. Or Spain.

Is it because this is just the “Made in…..”? I’ve never known a Nokia plant to be in the Philippines or Khazakstan.

This shows country specific markings to fit on the end of the N9 USB door. Turkey, Khazakstan and Ukraine are listed.
