Eco!

For those interested in looking after the ecosystems, caring for the environment, carbon footprints, eco-friendliness of the Nokia N9, check out the Eco profile stats of the N9. If you don’t – still, take a look anyway. Because you love the N9 and want to know anything more about it whilst it’s still unreleased :p. No? Well I know I do.

It’s a PDF.

As Mika notes the N9 will come in a minimalist cuboid box, the standard now for long touch screen handsets. (No more big square Nseries boxes of late)

  • Here’s the size of the cardboard package: 134 mm x Width: 80 mm x Height: 74 mm
  • Versus the size of the actual N9:  116.5 mm x Width: 61.2 mm x Height: 7.6-12.1 mm

So just bigger than the N9 with space underneath for the accessories.

Estimated proportions of materials used to make the N9. It’s mostly metal, followed next by plastic, battery, the front glass and other. Other being ‘awesomesauce’ though the whole thing is coated in that.

Other odd/interesting stats. The environmental impact of using the N9 over three years is apparently equivalent to driving a family car 96km

Cheers for the tip, Mika
