Video: The Nokia Gift Machine #FourSquare (updated)

Here’s another post in the drafts section that also didn’t make the posting. Hopefully there’ll be less of a need to ration postings due to severe traffic load.

I saw this 1000heads post a couple of days ago blogged via NokiaInnovation. This is called the Nokia gift machine. It’s a vending machine type thing, powered by foursquare. When you check in, it will release a gift. That’s pretty cool – an actual incentive to use foursquare type check-ins.

Why? It’s part of Social Media Week – and who does Social Media better than 1000Heads word of mouth people? 😀

To get this, Whatleydude says you need to:

• Open Foursquare on your phone
• Find the Nokia Gift Machine @ SMW
• Check-in using the #NokiaConnects hashtag
• Share to Twitter
• Collect your prize

Likewise, you could have the same experience with NFC. But this just requires a phone with data.
