Weekend Watch: Echo Echo, powered by Qt

Here’s another video in the ‘powered by Qt’ series. I say, “another” though this video was seen first and reserved for a weekend watch. 🙂

Nick Bicanic, founder and CEO of echoecho talks about the power of and reach of Qt. He says he’s used every major smartphone SDK and Qt was a breath of fresh air. They say with the suite of Qt tools, they could make a very compelling touch screen experience (and well, looking at all the new Qt apps with Belle/MeeGo-Harmattan UI, they’re certainly looking awesome).

We’ll reiterate a point made in the last video. Qt for the next billion. Qt for the millions of Symbian devices. S^3 audience definitely up for downloading your apps. There’s an audience there, and Qt can get you to them.

You can get echoecho here: http://store.ovi.com/content/113246

echoecho is the simplest answer to the world ’s most-texted question: Where are you? With one click, you can see where your friends are. And chat. For free.

It’s free, simple and no one ever sees where you are unless you allow them. Plus, it works on all smartphones.

For the best possible performance, update your phone software and plea se run Nokia Maps at least once and select Start.

(Registration may incur a one-time wireless carrier charge for a local SMS message)
