Juuso has put a trial for MeeGo version of fMobi. Lucky N950 and N9 users fire up and download now.

Is it me or does it look even better on MeeGo-Harmattan?

Thanks Mapantz for the tip!

Finally! I am happy…
sweet, now all i need is gravity for a good twitter client.
Such a great client
Hmm, it’s not downloading for me from the N9 browser. I just get a bunch of random text.
I have the same problem. So, I downloaded it to my laptop and then transferred it to my phone via bluetooth.
I think this is an issue. Sometimes the file will open, other times it won’t. Will report it on developer.nokia.com as a bug
Download the file to desktop and then send it to your N9 via e-mail.
get firefox, then its fine! only can i ask, are people willing to allow fmobi access to your profile! I’m a little unsure!
any news of Whatsapp for N9 ?
They already said there will be no Whatsapp for Meego
sh*t, Sh*t, Sh*t
That sucks, I have come to like it on my N8 even if at first I did not like it. It is so useful to keep in touch with my friends who live abroad.
If Juuso reads this, can you tell us how hard it was porting the S^3 version to Meego ? How long did it take , difficulty threshold ? Thanks
Probably hard for hım to say precısely as he probably worked the Meego versıon from the Maemo versıon. Btw, trıed to ınstall fmobı on my N900 and ın the typıcal N900 fashıon ıt dıd not work as I had not ınstalled some other lıbrary or the other needed for ıt… Hope hıs Meego ımplmentatıon ıs easıer for the average noob user lıke me to ınstall.
It looks very nice on the N9, i have to say!
PS: Folks with their N900′s have a Maemo v2.0.1 trial available today as well.
Just posted it haha, thanks anyway
definitely better than the native facebook, which is so buggy
Jay, everything looks better on MeeGo-Harmattan.
[...] It was only hours ago that we brought you news of fMobi being released for the N9/N950. Now, the great Facebook client comes to the N900. Yesterday it was day for MeeGo, today it’s all about Maemo [...]
As someone suggested, I downloaded the file to my PC and emailed it to myself, then downloaded it from my N9.
Already running into problems. It’s not connecting after entering my log-in information. I have it set to Power Saver Mode, which means connections to the internet are only done “when needed.” Apparently the device isn’t recognizing the app as worthy of a necessary connection to the internet.
In short, can’t even log in to test for bugs. Which I guess is a pretty big bug. I’m not going to test if Power Saver Mode is indeed the culprit and I instead need a constant connection at all times, because if that’s needed for the app to be used, then I’m not going to use it anyway as constant connections take up too much battery life on this device.
Restarted the device, and now it’s working. If you use Power Saver Mode and run into the same issue described above, try rebooting.
Check-ins are a dud on this app so far, and that would be the primary reason I use it. Every time I try to check-in I get “Your current GPS location not yet found. Please Wait.”
So far the only place I’ve been able to check in using my N9 is through touch.facebook.com, and even that is typically a pain in the butt (but more efficient than FMobi).
If you’re looking to use a Facebook app for check-ins on your N9, FMobi doesn’t appear to be the solution.
