Gallery: Nokia 710 vs Nokia 603 – WP Mango vs Symbian Belle

Both sharing the same beautiful design, the Nokia 603 packs Symbian Belle whilst the Nokia 710 is powered by Windows Phone Mango. This design was seen back in February, before any glimpses of any Belle or WP device at the time and was met with a lot of compliments. It’s great to see it on both platforms.

One of the first things I noticed was just how much smaller the 603 was in comparison. The first picture above doesn’t really show that as the 603 is closer.

Here they are after having taken a photo. You could sort of mention some sort of camera comparison here, but nah, let’s leave that out for now. Just as a reminder,

  • both have 5MP, but the 710 has autofocus (that being a requirement in WP) whilst the 603 has EDoF.
  • The display in the 603 is nHD 3.5″ whilst the 710 has a 3.7″ WVGA
  • 603: 113.5 x 57.1 x 12.7 mm
  • 710: 119.0 x 62.4 x 12.5 mm – actually working out to be a fraction thinner.
  • Both IPS LCD with Nokia’s Clear Black Display technology.

Side by side.

It seems to be using standard WP blue and not the deep Nokia Blue.

Both phones have their own strengths and weaknesses. Which ever one is best depends solely on the requirements of the user.

Which one would you prefer?
