This just cam up on my twitter feed, straight from Opera Mobile. The company behind the favourite browser for Nokia owners has officially released Opera for the N9. This is great news for many.

Apparently those of us with an N9 will have a “special Opera Labs edition”. I’m not too sure what this means, but I am installing it as I’m typing this up, and will definitely update the post shortly.

Have an N9? Head over to the Opera Site to download it now

Update: It sees I was too eager to post this. The file is infact in an .rpm format, incompatiable with the N9 at the moment. Most likely this version on Opera was designed for other MeeGo based products. Anyway, I am in the process of repackaging the application, hopefully I can get it to work. Wish me luck.

Also, if you wish to download the unofficial Opera 11 for N9, repackaged already, go here. Warning, use this product at your own risk.
