And someone said something about Nokia not being popular in Singapore.

The crowd is already gathering and people are queuing to be one of the first hundred to get the coveted Nokia Lumia 800. Seriously, I, myself, am really surprised by this sight as it is only 1 pm over here and the party starts in 6 hours’ time.

Great job Nokia with your marketing stunts! (or are these guys queuing paid by Nokia + Microsoft? Btw Jay, tell good o’ Ballmer for me that he has not given me my paycheck for the month of November /s)

Jokes aside, for those who wish to get a free Xbox together with your Lumia purchase, hurry down to Read Bridge, Clark Quay, NOW before they are all wiped out! Oh ya, you can get an awesome looking Lumia-branded umbrella too.

FYI, the Lumia handsets sold today will only be the 800 and it will be priced at S$775, without contract. The price of Lumia 710 will be out shortly. For those who are waiting for one with a contract, the price plans will be released very soon. Stay tuned.

Anyone heading down tonight?
