Nokia Collection Apps Category at Windows Phone Marketplace
The main Nokia made and possibly sponsored apps now have their own section called Nokia Collection at WP Marketplace. The main ones I think are already preloaded onto the Lumias.
Professor Thibault is wondering if this would go further to add a completely separate app store (like nokia/ovi store). It would be interesting if that happens and Nokia then keeps 30% of app revenue produced there rather than all going to MS (which should be fair given the Nok/MS partnership) However, the app discovery stuff, I’d like to have Marketplace’s algorithms rather than whatever Nokia Store uses (as Nokia store, with all of its apps, buries the good ones making them impossible to find).

I dont have this on mine ?
That desk behind the phone might give me nightmares.
I remember that when Nokia announced their “strategic partnership” with Microsoft, they said the Nokia would have its own Nokia branded application store front-end running on top of the Windows Marketplace back-end. I wonder what happened with that plan, if it has been scrapped or if it is in the works.
they forgot…..
thats what they said..but that strategy didn’t make lot of sense .. and they surely can’t do that do that under 3 months.. but anyways they are getting the 30% of the the app revenue that was supposed to go to MS.. What they need to do now is to try to get as apps as possible for the entire platform and sell as many phones as possible.. the more devices they sell the more revenue they get for their apps.. which is the same much money they would have had oif they had their own app store.
it’s all BS for Ballmer to squeeze Nokia nothing else
still bugs me to see this shit as well
people said it was a conspiracy theory that Elop was there from MS in Nokia just for this to happen and look what came out of it ……THIS SHIT
I own a Lumia 710 and I just found this new option on the marketplace. It just popped up today. I am eagerly waiting for the release of Nokia music app. It is still not available on the Lumia 710s here India
