I think this phone might outsell the 800.

It has 8GB instead of 16, it has 5MP instead of 8MP and the screen is TFT ClearBlack instead of Amoled Clearblack.

Those differences aren’t really major, the rest of the specs are the same as the 800, but it’s offered at a pretty ridiculously low price, and it has Drive, which the Focus (which it’s competing with on T-Mobile afaik) does not have.

I am interested to see how good or bad the camera is. Radar’s camera is only 5mp but it does pretty decent especially in low light because of that sensor that is also in the Titan.

      • KeiZka says:

You might want to take a gander at Engadget review then, though with N8 they showed us they don’t really know how to use cameras…

I base this on absolutely nothing, but I am guessing that generally the only people that are going to get this are when the salespeople steer them to it

So the question is, are salespeople going to steer them to it?

btw T-Mobile is my favorite carrier in the USA, have had great service from them ever since they bought VoiceStream.

  3. Sun Down says:

Although I love the 800, I find this to be also sexy. At least I’ll be able to realistically buy it (without a lost arm and leg).

  4. Why is it ok to be made of plastic when you cost 530 bucks unlocked (like my Galaxy S2) but it’s so wrong when you cost 50 bucks like this Nokia? Why is it ok to last barely 10 hours when you cost 649 US$ on the cheapest unlocked version (iPhone 4S) but it’s “not bad for a 50 US$ phone”… if review sites are going to bash a budget phone because it is made of plastic, then they shouldn’t even have mercy on a high-end device that’s made of plastic too. Or the battery, or the LACK of a camera buton (again, my Galaxy S2 or the iPhone).. ‘cmon engadget, we know you like.. hate Nokia, but you can also be more fair…

603 is half the price with basically the same specs XD

      • deep space bar says:

and pentaband with expandable storage …..yea might i add more??

        • Mark says:

Sure. You can start with the poorer user experience, Symbian’s habit of failing to collect e-mails on time, the terrible, terrible browser and the awful keyboard and lack of cloud based storage.

          • troll says:

Gawd. The suckiest part is the inability to upload anything at all. Seriously.

          • alai132 says:

Everybody are using opera mobile on Symbian. Do you use Internet Explorer on your computer? I don’t think so. Keyboard on 603 is better because you can use swype, if don’t how useful it is try first then make that kind of stupid comments. You ksow nothing about symbian belle, it’s modern interface, good battery life, full smartphone control.

  5. yohan says:

Various sources claiming lumia’s browser outbeaten by the iphone4…,what are wp devs doing?

  6. Abhay says:

Why would one buy this phone at $50 after a $50 rebate?

The HTC® Radar is selling for free on T-mobile and it has a front facing camera with hotspot functionality. However HTC does not have a 3G antenna…

Do you guys think people will buy Lumia 710?

(never used HTC so not sure about their quality)
