“FDA Approves Depressant Drug For The Annoyingly Cheerful”,   “DNA Evidence Frees Black Man Convicted Of Bear Attack”,  “Hollow Point Bullets Recalled That Don’t Explode In Targets”; if you thought those were real news stories then this app probably isn’t for you. For anyone who doesn’t know ‘The Onion’ it’s basically a comical fake news channel bringing you crazy socially unacceptable stories dealing with everything from Cobras eating babies to why some athletes are useless.

The Onion 7 app is the official WP app for the Onion giving you access to all your favorite fake news bulletins, videos and radio podcasts for free or $1.99 if you choose to got for the ad-free version. Each news story is fully view-able within the app without the need to open the browser to view more (Unlike RSS feeds). The Onion 7 app has the ability to share any story/video via SMS, Email, Facebook or to simply add it as your own personal favorite for later viewing.

The Onion 7 app is a great way to waste time and get a great laugh wherever you are considering that you can download content to be read later, so even if you dont have a data plan that shouldn’t stop you from enjoying all the great ‘news’ stories FREE.
