Nokia Lumia 710 Uncovered: Groups and Sharing

Here’s another video in Nokia Connects’ series of Lumia things. This is groups and sharing demonstrated with the aide of helicopters. Nokia Lumia’s phones have a different style of people group implementation. Instead of just being names in a group, with the embedded social networking, you can see live updates of people from that group, see what they’re sharing in addition to being able to quickly share something with them.

I find it nice to quickly be able to catch up on how certain groups of friends are doing at a quick glance from the people hub. As I mentioned before, after exams (phew just one left) I’ll compile a list of likes & complaints and suggestions about the WP platform. However here I wish:

  • I could add more than 20 users
  • Why aren’t my groups synced? WTF.
  • Let me choose where twitter images are being sent to (e.g. twitpic not skydrive)

At the moment, very good implementation of groups, it just could do with some refinement.
