Lumiappaday #72: Square Off demoed on the Nokia Lumia 800

Square Off is a nice looking game with some interesting controls. You’ve got your character who has to fight off the enemy by shooting them down with bombs, shotguns and missiles.

You push in the direction you want to move on the left. Simple enough perhaps. However, shooting isn’t just a press, you have to flick outwards in the direction you want to hit. It’s a little hard at first which is why you get a tutorial in the beginning to make sure you know what the controls are. This makes it an interesting challenge as you can’t just shoot as you would if it was a button press only. Well that’s what I find.

If you can last a level and kill all the enemy without dying you proceed to a new level. This comes free with ads or you can have it add free for just £0.79.
