Video: Qt QML Components running on BlackBerry PlayBook

has a neat video showing some Nokia N9’s Qt QML components on the BlackBerry PlayBook (another very gesture optimised device). You could think of it as possibly parts of N9 in tablet form. As Nokia fans are aware, the history of Maemo lies in tablets anyway.

Qt Components are building blocks to create application user interfaces. This particular set are the same ones that power the UI of the Nokia N9, ported to run on the BlackBerry Playbook.

This port took me around 2-3 hours, most of which was spent learning how to get things running on the Playbook itself.

Cheers ftw for the tip!
