Congratulations @Nokia! Nokia wins Best of show MWC Award for Nokia 808 PureView

The one memorable device everyone is still talking about at MWC just has to be the Nokia 808 PureView right? The unbelievable 41MP camera in a phone (and that’s not even the most amazing part – it’s in the PureView technology).

Quite rightly then, Nokia has won the prestigious Best of Show MWC Award: “Best New Mobile Handset, Device or Tablet at Mobile World Congress 2012

It’s a fantastic award because it signifies that consumer experience counts. It’s about tech, but it’s about how tech is used to make a consumer have a fantastic experience. The imaging is fantastic; the audio is fantastic; the navigation technology is fantastic.

“These are first signals that we are executing against our strategy. That we’re back. That we’re bringing great products to our consumers – and that this is just the beginning. There’s lot more to come.”

Jo Harlow

In the tough game of tech, a great hand to play is that of innovation. Nokia’s not out of the woods, by a long mile, and Harlow accepts this:

We have a lot of work ahead of us. We’re still a challenger, and we are going to operate as we have done in this last year to deliver these great results

Congrats Nokia. Many doubted that you could make a ripple at MWC but possibly started a tidal wave. More please, we want Tsunamis.

BTW, Monday was our busiest day ever. The flood of Nokia news meant in one day we had 177k views, a lot still flowing (over 100k for Tuesday on aftermath of Monday news). We also possibly posted a weeks worth of posts in 1 day. Thank you everyone for the tips and hopefully no one drowned from too much Nokia news. I think Nokia 808 PureView was an automatic muscle response after Monday.

Thanks prashant for the tip!
