Video: Nokia E6 Around the World in One Battery for 140th Anniversary of Phileas Fogg’s journey
Check out this nifty little promo for the Nokia E6. We haven’t heard from that handset in a while, huh?
Well to celebrate the 140th Anniversary of Phileas Fogg’s Journey (Around the World in 80 days) Nokia took to the skies with the Nokia E6, around the world on ONE battery. No charger. One week later, recording all the time from the Nokia E6, it still survives with power. Starting from Warsaw, through London, Suez, Mumbai, Singapore, Hong Kong, Yokohama, San Francisco, New York and London again, come back and prove that Nokia E6 has a reliable battery that allows you to travel around the world without recharging.

General InformationThanks to an inspiration of a Julius Verne’s fan we have one of a kind chance to show to the world all those beautiful cities which Phileas Fogg has seen during his travel. We will document them via posts, photos, movies and recorded phone talks. Join us on Facebook, Foursquare and Youtube. Become a witness of this great adventure.

He wore the same outfit on his two visits in London?
Perhaps limited change in clothes, changed, and then changed back to that? :S
offline mode?
Any news/rumors on the E6 successor?
Will it be released this year? What month?
Wonder how the e6 successor would be.
I have a Nokia e6 and trust me the battery on this thing is just [PROFANITY REMOVED] unbelievable . I can use it non stop for like 2 days plus and with no problem. I honestly recommend this phone and hop the e6 successor will have the same type of battery as this thing and won’t consume much power
.
Hope*
Not a chance! With data on and using whatsapp, apart from moderate use of the Internet, calls, texts and music player, my E6 barely makes it through 24 hours! If they put it through a more realistic example of the use of such a phone around the world (watching movies in the plane, etc…), the battery wouldn’t last anywhere close to even 3 days!
same here
360*640 with e61i body and screen size, 8mp auto focus, 1600mah, BCM2763, 1.5ghz, nfc, 512mb ram is all what i expect from nokia as e6 successor and i’ll get one for sure!
Sounds good. There’s still a huge market for portrait QWERTY as shown by all these shoddy blackberries. lol.
That resolution might to them good so it does not hinder updates and apps as the VGA screen did for the E6. It’s just a case of working out a practical screen size and design.
Hardly appropriate to be calling BlackBerries shoddy when comparing to Symbian. I’d use a BB any day over a Symbian QWERTYbar.
I was joking. They’re decent, especially the 9900
The E71 body is my favourite.
I’m a nokia fan but I don’t believe this at all. I do believe that the E6 has great battery life though. But this is not good enough proof.
