Nokia 808 PureView: 38MP mode vs PureView mode

I saw the image above on my facebook feed yesterday. It shows a comparison pic of the Nokia 808 pureview 38mp sample on the left, pureview mode on the right (at 8mp). Note this image is edited and uploaded to facebook. This is not really a true representation of the quality.

The following commentary was given. An important part to note is that the 8MP image is zoomed 400% and hence looks more pixelated. Another comparison we should look out for is what another 8mp photo would look like from another camera.

Things to look for:
1. Better color and Whit Balance in the 8MP image
2. In the crop above 38MP has been zoomed to 200% and 8MP to 400%. The 38MP image looks softer. The 8MP image is very sharp. It looks pixelated because its a 400% crop but there are no artifacts. DSLR like quality
3 There is no fine grain Noise in 8MP sample. However as the image was taken in good light there is very very little noise in 38 MP sample too
