Wooooah! Nokia Maps 3D goes full Stereoscopic jumping off the screen 3D
Just when you thought Nokia Maps 3D couldn’t get any cooler. The 3D stuff is now in real jumping out of the screen, red/blue anaglyph stereoscopic 3D!
The depth really is something. It’s like you’re actually standing over all of these buildings. It’s crazy! Especially when you begin to pan around and rotate
The last time I was this amazed, it was the debut of Nokia Maps 3D itself.
You will need some red/blue cinema 3D glasses to check it out. I happen to have found one randomly and it is AMAZING. Without it it looks like a mess but put the glasses on and holy crap I’m in London getting vertigo.
The effect can be turned on/off instantly by clicking the 3D glasses at the top right corner.
There are some views that you can only appreciate in stereoscopic 3D. Going to a more horizontal view, it is difficult to distinguish what’s at the foreground.

Pop to 3D mode, and put on your 3D glasses (not the black polarized ones) – the red blue ones and see something you wouldn’t have seen in a flat picture.

Cheers CJ and Prashant for the tip!

Updated credit. Thanks Prashant. I intentionally left this for the weekend (CJ messaged a while ago too).
I tried both nokia maps webgl and nokia maps 3d plugin, but I can’t see the stereo glasses icon. Which link are you guys using?
Am I color blind or should you use red-green 3D glasses – not red-blue?
