Nokia Russia’s Amazing Nokia Lift videos going viral, in most viewed YouTube.
When we first found the obscure Russian Amazing Everyday, I didn’t know what to expect. How amazing was a lift supposed to be?
The first one I saw was the police one and that was hilarious! Then Angry Birds and then finally, the guys’ favourite, the girls – or as some comments put it – the lift to heaven.
I really like the contrast of either mild/scary/unknown to the sudden fun, exciting, funny, entertaining surprise that came afterwards. The Angry Birds one was just fun all the way and so did not have that contrasting surprise. It was something that could possibly cater to everyone, kids, men and women. Good three pronged approach.
Now it’s on the YouTube most viewed, being seen by people who are not just Nokia fans. Great endorsement for Nokia Lumia. This, Dear Nokia Australia/Belgium, is Amazing Everyday.
Over 2 million combined views so far.

Elop has to use girls in order to sell Windows Phone. How sad.
Oh no that is so wrong! While at it remove all the girls from car shows too!
This Elop guy seems to be a superman because he is personally designing all the global marketing efforts of Nokia’s local sales organisations worldwide!
he causes relationship problems too, dont you know?
Elop makes women shallow!
elop is the reason why the economic is tanking!
fire him and everything will be alright!
I read shallow wrong first. ;D
Careful, she’ll kick your ass if you call her that.
love this video.
man that dude is whipped!
Because of Elop our 2-year-old is having tantrums.
Because of Elop, the washing machine at my Uni house is broken.
I think Mr Elop skills ought to be used to make Nokia growth, I think now they are wasted for neither dead nor alive Windows market. This efforts are positive by all means, but Nokia activities should not be limited to any one and only direction. Nokia is not Apple, unfortunately. And Mr Elop is technocrat rather and not any second Mr Jobs. Company should use what is best in a particular person and create environment to limit influence of what is the worst in the same person. eg. any CEO could fail if asked to work as lumberjack and vice versa.
Oh no…no one should ever use girls in a promo for phones. Oh wait. It’s only not allowed if it’s a Lumia phone. There are different rules there.

Sadly, the one I fancy wasn’t there – the white N9
But good looking girls – yes, this is how Nokia ought to market things.”
+1.
Got to love the Russians sometimes. They take things so over the top all the time.
Amazing Everyday indeed!
It must be because of those perfect button placement in the video :p
I missed that. I’ll have to watch it again LOL
This using basic instincts in marketing. But also this can be frustrating for persons don’t want to be treated as sexual objects only. Also more mature person can have mixed feelings about. How wife will see such advert and what will advice to his husband? My wife enforced I will always have mobile accepted by her, especially about colours for “I don’t want any embarrassing situation when you would have stupid mobile at a party”, whatever for me my wife is more important then any vendor. And what about grandmamas and grandpapas? What will manager do if he has only female employees and want never be accused about molestation? Perhaps this is somehow connected with opinion that Lumia is most preferred by persons with homosexual preferences, whatever but note there is no such advert with woman and Chippendale-dancers in lift. Perhaps of above mentioned reason. But I think there is nothing wrong with selling mobiles to persons with homosexual preferences. Just every population has around 1-5% fraction with such preferences hidden or not, deepens on cultural connotations and habits.
There are three videos.
One lift is full of women.
One lift is full of men.
One lift is full of angry birds.
The one full of men, the men sing to men and women.
The one full of women, the women dance to men and women.
It’s just a fun video with thousands of voters agreeing that it is fun and that they LIKE it.
I have just read 2M combined views, and how to compare this to 150M of former Symbian customers base?… Transition most apparently has been finished.

I’m not quite sure what you’re trying to say. I’m talking about the three videos above. Nokia Amazing Everyday efforts normally just stick to the Nokia crowd – if anything more – in tech. This is on YouTube’s most viewed. Even in Nokia’s hay day, getting to most viewed is no simple feat – especially for a tech related video.
Jay,
Not sure, from where you got the top viewed videos list?
The image above shows Nokia.ru channel. Also on youtube, those lift videos don’t seem to be in the most viewed list, but in the top in Nokia’s channel.

btw, loving the Drama button video. I really wanted that to have been an Amazing EVERYDAY thing too
Ohkie, now i see. Bte, which is drama button video?
The big video. A surprise on a quiet square. It came up randomly on my facebook feed when it only had a couple of hundred views and 3 comments, and then suddenly it went super viral. Contrast, tension, action and unexpected delight at the end. Those are ingredients for a good viral, and good Amazing Everyday
This is de-dignifying for Nokia! Anssi Vanjoki, I want you back at Nokia, preferrably as CEO!
Good video, a lot of good promise there. Did that write once go on all our smartphones work? It sounded like a magic bullet.
xD I loved the police one, everyone’s just so scared until they start singing, it’s the most random idea ever.
Yup, so unexpected and the contrast is what makes it brilliant
