Nokia Russia’s Amazing Nokia Lift videos going viral, in most viewed YouTube.

When we first found the obscure Russian Amazing Everyday, I didn’t know what to expect. How amazing was a lift supposed to be?

The first one I saw was the police one and that was hilarious! Then Angry Birds and then finally, the guys’ favourite, the girls – or as some comments put it – the lift to heaven.

I really like the contrast of either mild/scary/unknown to the sudden fun, exciting, funny, entertaining surprise that came afterwards. The Angry Birds one was just fun all the way and so did not have that contrasting surprise. It was something that could possibly cater to everyone, kids, men and women. Good three pronged approach.

Now it’s on the YouTube most viewed, being seen by people who are not just Nokia fans. Great endorsement for Nokia Lumia. This, Dear Nokia Australia/Belgium, is Amazing Everyday.

Over 2 million combined views so far.

Elop has to use girls in order to sell Windows Phone. How sad.

Got to love the Russians sometimes. They take things so over the top all the time. :D

    Amazing Everyday indeed!

This using basic instincts in marketing. But also this can be frustrating for persons don’t want to be treated as sexual objects only. Also more mature person can have mixed feelings about. How wife will see such advert and what will advice to his husband? My wife enforced I will always have mobile accepted by her, especially about colours for “I don’t want any embarrassing situation when you would have stupid mobile at a party”, whatever for me my wife is more important then any vendor. And what about grandmamas and grandpapas? What will manager do if he has only female employees and want never be accused about molestation? Perhaps this is somehow connected with opinion that Lumia is most preferred by persons with homosexual preferences, whatever but note there is no such advert with woman and Chippendale-dancers in lift. Perhaps of above mentioned reason. But I think there is nothing wrong with selling mobiles to persons with homosexual preferences. Just every population has around 1-5% fraction with such preferences hidden or not, deepens on cultural connotations and habits.

      There are three videos.

One lift is full of women.
One lift is full of men.
One lift is full of angry birds.

The one full of men, the men sing to men and women.
The one full of women, the women dance to men and women.

It’s just a fun video with thousands of voters agreeing that it is fun and that they LIKE it.

I have just read 2M combined views, and how to compare this to 150M of former Symbian customers base?… Transition most apparently has been finished.

I’m not quite sure what you’re trying to say. I’m talking about the three videos above. Nokia Amazing Everyday efforts normally just stick to the Nokia crowd – if anything more – in tech. This is on YouTube’s most viewed. Even in Nokia’s hay day, getting to most viewed is no simple feat – especially for a tech related video.

    Jay,

Not sure, from where you got the top viewed videos list?
The image above shows Nokia.ru channel. Also on youtube, those lift videos don’t seem to be in the most viewed list, but in the top in Nokia’s channel.

This is de-dignifying for Nokia! Anssi Vanjoki, I want you back at Nokia, preferrably as CEO!

Good video, a lot of good promise there. Did that write once go on all our smartphones work? It sounded like a magic bullet.

xD I loved the police one, everyone’s just so scared until they start singing, it’s the most random idea ever.
