Lumiappaday #153: foursquare demoed on the Nokia Lumia 800

This is the official foursquare app. Pretty much just a quick demo of what it looks like on Lumia as opposed to a review. I don’t have much time at the moment to fully explore these apps so hopefully a demo will do for now.

I’m not really a Foursquare user, I haven’t been hit with the check in bug yet but I know there are many that like the service. I like that it was quick to start up and find  the nearest and most appropriate locations I’d want to check into. There’s a quick check in button there that is fast and no fuss.

Other aspects hopefully shown in the video but I may have missed other features. I wanted to show a different, and more used Foursquare app but I don’t even remember what my password was to use it.

Rating:

Design: 9

Looks good.

Usability: 8

A little bit confusing at times where I was in the app. If you just use the features on the surface it’s otherwise extremely simple and easy to use. Turn on, check in, done.

Performance: 9

Whilst it loads fast and has quick resume, some things take a long while to load. Fortunately it’s not the crucial checking in parts.

Price: 10

It’s free 🙂
