Chris Weber gives a Nokia fan some awesome Nokia Accessories?

Remember that guy who went crazy happy after getting a Nokia Lumia 900?

I don’t actually know what happened since but somehow Chris Weber (Noki US President) apparently gave him a bunch of Nokia accessories as a gift, including Monster Nokia Purity Headphones, a Play 360, a Nokia shirt and some screen wipes. Neat.

I think it’s cool of Nokia to reach out and get people who love their products (and love to talk about their products) more Nokia Original accessories to play with. The guy still likes every other tech too, but now he has some Nokia Accessories to use and show off to his friends/family/interwebs. It’s not really a new thing. The original Nseries blog, then WOMWorld, now Nokia Connects started by looking for Nokia fans around the world, seeing the vocal ones and getting them connected with Nokia, trying new Nokia stuff (so any conspiracies can stop right there that this is just Lumia).

I picked up a pair of my own Monster b headphones yesterday to see what the fuss is about (Good, though not that good). I hope some day, Nokia UK will get some of these Nokia Purity headphones in stock so I can compare. Their trial people don’t have any it seems (or other stuff I’ve asked to try :s).

    I would like a pair of 360° speakers :D

Not interested in Monster stuff, I’m sure the old BH-905i or whatever they were would sound much better.

    JEALOUS!!!!!!

    I want Purity Over-ears

Funny because he says the purity HD are in Ear but oh well :p

uh jay? why do you have a question mark at the end of the title sentence? “Chris Weber gives a Nokia fan some awesome Nokia Accessories?” are you asking a question??

    • Jay Montano says:

Because I don’t know for sure if he got it from Chris Weber or because he seems to be loaded that he bought it and is joking around.

I always try to put a question mark if I’m unsure about a story.

The Nokia Play 360 are very good and very loud. I have one here.

Hopefully I can get a Nokia Purity HD to try out.

Hopefully I can get a decent website and try to reach Nokia Connect as Im an avid Nokia fan with phone reviews on every Nokia phones I bought and will buy.

Thanks MyNokiaBlog for the inspiration and for the heads-up

I was still with Nokia when Webber joined and he made a great impression of a douche bag during his first conference intro. This is just my personal opinion and I am not trying to prove that he is a douche. I hope he can prove me wrong and improve working dynamics and moral among Nokia US employees as well as relationship with the clients. Acts like the one you’ve described, Jay, don’t affect his performance or perception.

Lucky dude! I was lucky enough to trial the Purity in-ear and Purity on-ear on my blog and they were pretty impressive. Well, if you like bass heavy headphones like most of Monster’s products :o )

    • Aliqudsi says:

CJ! I’ve actually found the bass on the puritys a bit toned down and more reasonable.. maybe it’s only the magenta ones :D

    • Jay Montano says:

Maybe I’m. A bassfreak, I didn’t find the bass as heavy ot overwhelming as some reviews mentioned. Nearly went for some sonys which apparently had insane bass, subwoofers in the cups lol.

next north i’m picking up the 808 with audio-technica…. Instead of elop getting Nokia to hop on the monster bandwagon….they should have done more research…the real reason why i think nokia should have went with AT is the rare metal is found in the magnets of the x7′s speakers and numerous AT headphones would have been awesome to see as well

        • Saul says:

I think the reason they go with co’s like Monster is because they can strike cheaper deals.
There’s simply no comparison with Monster and can makers like AT.
Anyone that’s closely followed IEM/Cans for years knows that.
Admittedly Monster has improved heaps in recent years…
But they’re still not in the same league & never will be, as that’s not their focus.

Got to love this guy. :D

  8. AndrewB says:

Jay, this guy is either a foul-mouthed eedjit, or presents his videos in the persona of a foul-mouthed eedjit. He’s adding nothing to the conversation.

Either way, I think the value of linking to his rants is weighted in his favour not yours.

    • Saul says:

I have to agree, seems like a bit of a tool to me.
I think jay links to him mainly because he seems like a really enthusiastic Nokia fan.
