Cheesy Video: Email and Networking on WP- Feat. Lumia 800

Ok, Honestly this video is PAINFUL to watch; the acting, the length, too much information….  But it does get the point across; since RIM launched BB10 last week I guess MSFT is pushing the enterprise/Company side of the phone showing how it’s better than BB (it is but there are better ways to prove it)- I guess it’s pretty cool that Nokia’s are the new face of WP though.

-For the record the younger guy in the video was running the smoked by WP at MWC- he’s a pretty cool guy; this video doesn’t do him justice.

(Also it would seem that Symbian is the only other OS with Lync- although I have no idea what it is), also if WP really wanted to put people first they wouldn’t make us sit through those 5 minutes. I think they were trying to do the whole MacVsPC but failed horribly at it, this is how it’s done: (I hate Mac, I’ve never gotten used to it’s OS or how to use it but credit given to good advertisement).

Perhaps a new RIM could be an option? Second to Tizen? Interesting.

If I would go for a conference, there would be lets say 300? 1500? 5000 participants? and I would have WP with “tails” I would have to see them all in my mobile on tails? Could I make a call with this? And when it would crash? With 100persons? Just my doubts…… :/

Tails? You mean tiles? In case you do – of course you would not have 5000 people pinned to your home screen.. lols.. If you mean Lync I gather proximity (i.e. the fact that you are all in the same conference) would not impact performance (as long as the local wifi and/or cell network can handle the traffic which has nothing to do with WP). Plus of course you have the groups tiles too that he demoed.

The PC guy looks just like Stephen Elop. Even the way he seems to think ;)

It is informative and shows of WP’s features nicely. But they should cut away all the BB parts and use it as a educational video, because as an ad it is very bad, too much information, nothing catchy and bad unnatural acting.

Microsoft should concentrate on showing WPs speed and fluidness, I think it is the only feature that sets it apart from the competition at the moment.

LOVE IT!! Two engineers made to act! VERY endeering! :D :D Do you see the love in their eyes in the last two seconds of the video? :D

Haha, this is so clumsy cute that it actually will probably get watch a lot more thanks to it. If it was a sleek 2 minute professional actor thing, no one would have even re-blogged about it. :p

I had to stop watching after 1 minute–I was hoping Microsoft marketing would improve after the VP of marketing left (presumably fired) last year. I can see the I’m an iOS and I’m a Windows Phone ads coming now.

If Microsoft cannot tell internally when their marketing is enough to make you puke then they should run everything by a focus group before they release it.

Good concept, but yeah you’re right, very cheesy. Flared up the milk allergy.
