808 Pureview Launching In Lebanon Today?
I’m not sure exactly what this tweet means but I take it to mean that the 808 is launching in Lebanon Today; earlier Jay posted that the 808 is up for pre-order in the UAE. After which the following tweet popped up in my twitter feed:

With a link to the pureviews MEA page (there was never any doubt that the 808 was coming to the MEA & Gulf since we don’t have any Lumias here so nothing to ruin the sales). Also worth mentioning that there was a Pureview event in Lebanon a couple days back but I didn’t find any pictures or official blog about it so I didn’t think it was worth posting about. Update: Apparently this is the event that I thought had already occurred; follow it on twitter at 5 today (MEA time) with the “#NokiaPureView ” hashtag.

WTF cheaper than n8 when i got mine pre-ordered from Official Nokia Store here.

Really? When I got my N8 (launch week) I payed close to 2700 SAR More than 700 USD for it.
Same price is expected in India too.
Otherwise Galaxy S2 can easily ruin the sales.

Let’s hope that 130 core engineers might still be a sufficient, focused, team size to bring Carla and Donna.
But considering (real life) maintenance on existing products (s60v3,v5,s^3…) to correct critical bugs… Maintenance might be all what they can do.
I doubt they are still maintaining S60v3 and 5
Just recently E5 (s60v3) got new firmware update and there are still C5-0x on sale. Anyway, the fact is that we don’t know what they are doing.
what’s up with the launching of the 808pureview in india and egypt.. haven’t heard anything here till now.. any news???
Both Egypt and india have had Pureview events where they inrtoduced the device to marketers and regional bloggers- I think they’re just prepping hteir ads and getting their stock ready.
Launching probably in 3rd Week of May .. or Probably May 27.
