Rumours: More info on S40 and Meltemi
Quick post as I am on my work lunch break but thought this needed to be shared. (Sorry if there are typos, posting straight from my N950). As always, take this with huge pinches of salt.
My source told me some intersting things regarding S40 and Meltemi.
S40 will supposedly have more processsing power than the N9. Now this is plausible, as the new S40 devices already have 1Ghz processors, same as the N9, so it isn’t too far away from being reality.
The next bit of information was that Meltemi is more related to MeeGo, than just the UI. We already know QT will be a part of it, and that it is Linux based (possibly SmarterPhone) but what else could be shared? Will it be based of the proper MeeGo core, or Harmattan?
The more we find out about the two platforms, the more excited I get. Hopefully the Next Billion event will shed some more light on the rumours.
