Video: Nokia Hands on: Lumia 610, 800, 900 and 808 PureView!
Ooh, what’s this? Hands on with the Nokia 808 PureView again?
This one is professionally shot (in Russian) but before you see the 808, you also get the chance to look at Nokia 610, 800 and 900. You can see the 900 next to the 800 but not next to the 808.
The video is 9 minutes long and the 808 bit is mainly just about the camera (though sadly they don’t look at the pics taken).

I just pre ordered my cyan lumia 900 from expansys… I wonder what is taking nokia long to get the phone out to those dealers
imagine most of their stock is going to the operators which they’re barely keeping up with
nokia probably didnt expect the 900 to sell so well
As usual, misread the market..Everybody wanted larger screens..
I see Microsoft is giving away Windows Phones in another contest except the 900. I don’t think they can get any. lol. I’m glad I made the switch from symbian to the 900. With the beta labs apps it’s does all the things I need plus my Marketplace favorites.
Someone got the “bestsmartphoneever.com” site registered…lol…the siri comments on the 900 even made national radio.
n9 is missing
arrghhh, same with nokia in Finland..
I’m Getting the pureview but when i heard that a lumia windows phone 8 pureview is coming late this year i changed my mind so i guess i’l wait
but the question is , is waiting worth it or should i get the belle OS pureview ? please anyone reply cause i really need an advise .
if windows 8 based pureview is coming this year they shouldn’t have launched 808 at all.
Maybe a pureview lite with 12mp sensor.is coming.
I seriously doubt another 41mp will surface for WP..As you say, maybe a 12mp or slightly larger.. Which is why im getting the 808..
I agree. Get it now because of the size of the sensor. I can’t picture that on a WP device but we are talking Nokia, who knows what they can come up with. It depends on what you can afford. Perhaps a 808 and a 610. That black 610 is “man”. I wish they would open some apps on the windows demo’s but I suppose they are dummy phones. Once you open the pictures or video apps the sales pitch is over. It’s a sale!!
Hi Jay, some interesting articles on Elop and Nokia from established News firms.
CNBC on Herb Greenberg: The Worst CEOs for 2012? http://www.cnbc.com/id/47030593/
Elop is no.2 on that list… the picture is funny
http://www.cnbc.com/id/47030593/?slide=3
Reuters on the Nokia situation.
http://uk.reuters.com/article/2012/05/18/us-nokia-cash-idUKBRE84H0BD20120518
I admit these articles are on the negative side. But I wanted some pro WP7 commentators here to understand, we are not the only guys that are baffled by putting everything Nokia on the WP7 strategy.
For us Nokia lovers, the “best” way to be pro Nokia route pushes us to go the anti Elop route.
i have to give it to Microsoft.. Brilliant business maneuver!
Started a “Burn Off” that cant be put out..Clowns..
Why didnt they release the 808 in conjunction with WP.? That could have lessened the damage..And wheres that N9 successor..?
Once you look past the term “news” and see who writes or reports, the Worst CEO’s report comes from Forbes. Forbes is part of the Murdock empire and is part of the elite Banksters who want just Apple and Android. Stock movements, downgrades are all part of the elites tools to destroy the competition from their view of their world domination for a small group of elites. (Report was based in Germany and is not my ideas but through science of investigation tools) AP,Reuters, well name any big name western media and see who owns it. There is a article on governments ties with Google that came up this week and Apple has been meeting with members of Congress of the U.S. We Nokia “lovers” seek to see Nokia survive. The survival of Nokia is not just a point of a phone maker but is a stick in the eye of those who seek to dominate us through manipulation. You see this push against Nokia at a strange time don’t you? It seems the 900 is a game changer in that the sales are much greater than was expected and what “they” want to happen. The 808, the best camera even in any phone got talked down by who? Who owns them? Their tools are “crisis, crisis, crisis”. Our tools are to buy the Nokia products we love. I love that stick in their eye by the way.
I wonder if Microsoft are part of it.. they might get Nokia for cheap by the end of the year.
Good point on US news media manipulation going mainstream. I understand and know all this too well. The US media and silicon valley “financing” are big advantages for US based tech companies.
My biggest anger in this Nokia story was the killing of great EU technology. Symbian was generating revenues and Meego had the press going all out positive and QT was going to be “the” development tool. QT had all the APIs and the developer interest to go mainstream but was killed at birth.
you have already posted this on other articles aswell. this is called trolling. and if you love nokia, you suport it no matter what. encouraging them to dump nokia now would mean a change of strategy again, and that wuld take another year of murky waters. that is not a good strategy
correction: encouraging them to dump elop.
and just because we like wp and accept the current strategy doesn’t mean we don’t love nokia, we just have a opend mind and we are trying to wait for a considerable amount of time to decide if the strategy is good or bad. this because this is a 3 year strategy, and even in the best scenario nokia with a mature meego or whatever other os they days of nokia supremacy in sales is gone. shares will never go back to 40 dollars, their reign in the low end has finished. they are lucky if in 2 years from now they will be the 2nd smartphone manufacturer and 2nd in low end
Bravo!
So when I comment it’s trolling and when I post links for newspaper sources it’s trolling. And the only “correct” way it support Elop.
Don’t you see it, all this was planned all along. Burn all bridges to the platform so to way to go back, and the only “correct” way becomes… yes dude is to support Elop.
When I watched the video and see the front of 808, it reminds me of 5800 without XpressMusic branding and the media button… Hoping to see Symbian devices with capacitive keys instead of physical buttons but with a little curvature for each buttons (like the iphones) so that people won’t accidentally touch them.
the ability to zoom like that puts it in a whole new category.. I don’t think the camera in this smartphone can be compared to any other smartphones..
Jay, I believe this is from Ukraine
Hello, yes this video from Kiev Ukraine, Our reporter was invited to the presentation of all three Nokia smartphones in Ukraine “only for journalists”. Therefore, we had little time to prepare a more complete story about the 808. In the coming days we will we get a 808 for a full review. Then the maximum Tell about it.
Sorry for bad English:)
the URL in the video is Ukraine. More respect to former Soviet Union please!
It’s like saying Oh Canada to the USA.
