Wazapp for N9 gets Minor Push to V 0.2.4
Just a minor heads-up- the recently released unofficial whatsapp client for Meego has gotten it’s first Update mostly fixing some minor bugs that users would face while signing in.
Changelog includes:
- Added support for displaying received Emoji
- Fixed interpreting login failure as a connection error, resulting in reconnect loop then segmentation fault
- Fixed crash during sync because of encoding issue (resulting in “No Contacts” after sync)
- Fixed notifications clicks for people not in contacts
- Fixed connection crash when push name has non ASCII chars (resulting in “Connecting” forever)
- Added Country picker in Registration instead of entering Country Code manually

In whatsapp usually can you update a status?
yes you can,
however not yet being done in Wazapp, thou you can simply change your status by using workaround that will never be patch by WhatsApp Inc (typical them) : http://talk.maemo.org/showpost.php?p=1209415&postcount=554

is there away to change that message tone for this app ?
The version 0.2.x uses the system chat tone for notification. You can change them under Settings->Sound and Vibrations. Check the changelog here: http://wazapp.im/changelog

So I downloaded Wazapp. But still cantn chat etc.
1) Ontop of the screen it show Offline and when I sync my contacts it stuck or does it forEver! Did I do something wrong when Registering?

Is your phone connected to internet? If not, it stays offline. if it is connected, better check this forum: http://talk.maemo.org/showthread.php?t=84318. tgalal or somebody else might be able to help you.
Just press options and choose to quit wazapp. Start it up again and you’re all done. Same thing happened to me but after doing that it now works flawlessly. I hope this helps
I’ve been watching & the rate at which they’re updating it is impressive.
It started at 0.17 IIRC, & there’s been “at least” 4 updates now.
Mainly minor fixes/changes, but the iterations are constant…

Okay i was able to download wazapp, but i can not register, instead of sending the 3 digit sms it says FAIL: SERVER SAYS: FAIL-TOO-MANY and when i trying using the voice instead of sms it say FAIL: PROBLEM UNKNOWN. Please help me :’(

And don’t just spam the poor devs, actually do some extensive reading of the last 40 or so pages 1st.
Everyone posts the some Qns & requests for help constantly, when the answers are already staring them in the face.
