Leak(?): Vertu running WP8 with 64GB and “Cloud Storage” in tow
WPXap have reportedly gotten hold of images of a Vertu device running WP8. The pics show the about screen, detailing the 64gb internal storage(says 54.72 gb, but you need to remember OS takes space and 64GB is based on 1GB=1000MB), as well as showing device model as Vertu, and OS version.
Not sure how reliable these images can be, but since Nokia has sold off Vertu, it is plausible that this prototype device has made its way into the wrong hands.
As you can see from the above image, there is something called “Cloud Storage” now in the settings menu. Here you can select to have cloud storage enabled on your device, as well as giving you a glance of how large your SkyDrive account is, and also how much free space you have left on your account.
Side Note: I never understood why Vertu never ran a good OS, instead only recently being updated to Symbian Anna. To me, being an “exclusive” device, it should have been running something unique, like MeeGo-Harmattan.

I think Nokia retains 10% in Vertu? And probably co-operation on some product level for the time being.
That’s correct!
I’ll only believe this when I see screenshots of the different Vertu services on WP. There is a reason why Vertu still hasn’t gone to Belle yet..
And if these are valid WP8 screenshots, then it seems WP8 isn’t a lot different fro WP7.x
Find my phone is available in Mango but the checkboxes looks a bit different. I think these pictures are real
Michael… I think you are a little confused about why people buy Vertu-phones. Their customers are the same customers that buy Rolex-watches, they dont do it for the functions but are instead doing it for the glam.. Else they would have bought a plastic Casio watch and a nasty Android-phone
Short story: they dont care about the functions.
Yup. Did you guys see the android powered lamborghini phones? they are a jocke, low end specs with last years android os all put in a fugly luxury case
Those aren’t from Lamborghini themselves, they are made bu some guy called Tonino Lamborghini or something. He makes all kinds of crap stuff with Lamborghini branding, the branding is just slightly different.
Tonino is the son of Ferruccio Lamborghini. The branding is a little different because the family sold the car brand ages ago (and is now owned by Volkswagen).
A few friends of mine use Vertu phones. They never stop bragging about their 24/7 concierge service.
Point is Vertu phones come with some very unique benefits. And when you buy a Rolex you just get a watch.
+1. It is the concierge services which sets Vertu apart from others and if I’m not wrong, it is these services that have stopped Vertu to moving to Symbian Belle or other OSes..
I know they but them for glam. That is why I still think it should have an exclusive OS
The pics are fake. check how “8.0″ is highlighted in the first pic ? brighter, little larger and at a different angle too ! great attempt whoever it is , but you screwed up

Lol. I’ve been blocked from Engadget for about a month. A whole MONTH.
Ever since I posted ONE comment questioning the bias of that PureView article. My comment wasn’t even bad, didn’t contain curse words or offensive language.
I was mad for about a week but I eventually got over it but it still makes me go “Wow, they hold a deep grudge” when I see that I have been blocked.
I really wanted to post some helpful information in one discussion on Engadget but oh well.
I am not changing my user name just to post.
Well you can kiss goodbye to M-H or Meltemi now anyway
I do agree though, & others have made the same point…
It could’ve been the perfect incubator for a top-end successor to meltemi.
