Lumia 900 for a penny (one cent) on Amazon- All Colors

No, not THAT Penny, one less shiny and worth alot less; yup the Lumia 900s ALL OF THEM are on sale online at Amazon mobile for ONE CENT, that’s .01 of a dollar or a 99.99% discount on the original already dirt cheap $100 price tag, or course you have to pay for the service fees from At&t but damn I wish phones were subsidized that cheap here (or at all). All three colors (White, Black and Cyan) are for a penny but only on Amazon as Att.com is still selling them for the 100 dollar price tag. I’m not sure when this offer started but if you don’t mind not getting the fullout WP8 experience and will settle for a UI overhaul then this is the time to buy.

i wonder how nokia is gonna sell wp 7.x devices or can we expect wp8 device running on current hardware???

    • steelicon says:

WP8 runs on a different kernel (MiniWin/NT) different hardware from current WP7.X kernel (WinCE) and different hardware. IIRC, current hardware cannot upgrade to WP8. Currently Lumia 610, 610NFC, 710, 800, 900 are dead end product in just 6 months to 1 year more or less.

i know upgrade path is impossible, but does this means even cheapest wp8 device will be having dualcore snapdragon s4 chipset and andreno 225 or above gpu???

Yea, I also keep wondering how Android manufacturers expect to be selling 2.3 devices now that 4.0 is out. Or how they expect to sell 4.0 devices when 5.0 has been released and god knows getting an update to your current device is nothing but guaranteed…

      No, wait, what?!?

What happen to those purchase earlier with much higher price ?

  5. ssdh says:

Wow, this just means that the demand for L900 is so low, but has an excess supply, that the sellers have to lower the price this much, this early..
No one really wants to buy this thing huh..
