Video: Nokia 808 PureView vs Sony NEX-7, video, AF and audio test.

This video shows the Nokia 808 PureView video and AF against the Sony NEX-7. The NEX-7 is a mirrorless interchangeable lens camera that targets advanced users, twice as expensive as the 808.

The Nokia 808 PureView’s video is using zoom to match the field of view of NEX-7. Notice how slow and inaccurate the autofocus is of the NEX-7 in comparison to the 808.

The second video tests out the audio.

 

The focus looks bad in this video because this is NOT an AF lens. The 808 was also set to ‘manual’ focus.

The rich recording on the 808 isn’t as impressive as I’ve heard it before. There’s a strange sound (like wind blowing against the mic) that I’ve not noticed in an 808 video before. It’s often present in phones/pocket cams but it was something the 808 I found reduced a lot, so it’s strange to hear it here.
