Nokia Nostalgia: Nokia 7650
We’re looking at another phone in our short Nokia Nostalgia series. This one is the Nokia 7650, a powerhouse of a Symbian Series 60 phone when it was first available. Note, the little ball thing seems to have broken off this unit. Shame as this is what people get to see at Nokia House.
This was one of the first phones ever with a camera built in. One of the first with colour screens. And also super powerful with Symbian on board. I remember being in utter awe of this phone and seeing my aunt with one (she always had the latest Nokia phones) I was mesmerised. Being from the future, this phone famously starred in Minority Report.
The screen was massive at the time. I remember having dreams about owning a phone with a camera. I remember reading about how amazing this phone was and eyeing up the TV remote control app that was possible with this phone.

This one goes down in mobile history as one of the iconic phone ads. They really captured the point about the uniqueness in taking photos in mobile. And to this day, Nokia is still the leader in imaging.
