Video: Nokia Asha 305 Ad from Nokia India
Here’s an advert for the surprisingly popular Nokia Asha 305. I can sort of understand the joke but if someone could elaborate on it a bit more that would be appreciated.

AFAIK S40 = Series 40 = UI Layer on top of proprietary Nokia OS that has its roots in the OS under the Series 30 UI Layer. S60 = Series 60 = Symbian 9.x UI layer.
Some bad boys in college enter in the canteen, and argue with the poor looking guy. but the guy with his asha 305 instantly downloads & plays a bollywood song according to his(bad guy) dialogues, then all the other people follow him…

I would consider it as a smartphone because when iphone 1 was released was it not called smart.
Asha can handle music in the background, emails social networks, IM, and what not. They just need to add multitasking am sure they working on it.
Well i think there is a space where the phones should be called something else here not smartphones. Nokia should come up with something new. A DUMB phone with Genious Mind. GNiusPhones may be a new term.
The name you’re looking for is Greatphone. All the ability of a smartphone without the baggage and “carrier rape” of a smartphone.
And S40 now kicks ass.
India is a key market for Nokia…approx. half of that they destroyed by launching devices like 5530, 5535, 5288, 5233…I think 5800 and N97 were enough…then they regained a bit with S^3…but now the rest of it they gonna destroy with this S40…
