I guess all Nokia accessories are getting a refresh this year, as earlier this week we saw the PlayTo 360 become PlayUp with JBL, now Nokia Conv. are reporting that the updated version of the Purity HD Headset has arrived, minus the pesky cable. The Purity Pro Wireless connects over Bluetooth/NFC and is available in red, yellow, white and black. The headsets active noise cancelling and Bluetooth automatically switch on when unfolded, and turn off again when folded away. As to be expected with premium headsets such as these, that carry not just the Nokia branding but the Monster name as well, they are quite pricing starting at approximately €299 (376 USD) Availability begins in 4th Quarter of 2012.

It’s interesting to see the available colors for the headset, once again we have the inclusion of the new Yellow, and the exclusion of the Magenta; however unlike the PlayUp the Cyan has been replaced with the striking red you see above. More evidence of the new colors in upcoming lumia line?

*Note: These are exactly what I’ve been looking for since unfortunately the pair of Purity HDs I have died on me, I think the connector in the headpiece itself has gotten loose somehow, as switching out the cable didn’t help any, also unfortunately they’re not supported by nokia Care here, so no help there.

Exactly what I have been looking for.
I hope that the sound is as clear as Nokia Essence BH-610(which is i Have also for everyday use) with a louder output and deeper bass.
    Nice indeed.

    I don’t get why serious headphone/set OEM’s don’t team-up with Nokia, it’s always Monster or similar…
Co’s well-regarded in the audio enthusiast/expert world like Sennheiser, Audio-Technica etc. would be hugely welcome, & WAY overdue.

  13. Shaun says:

Eek! I wonder how much of that pricetag is the Monster branding.

For the money, you can buy a really nice set of Sennheisers. Looks like it’s Philips SHB9100 for me then.

  14. The entire system weighs just over eight ounces, and comes with three connection adaptors meaning you can use them with almost any device.
