Skype For WP8 Cameo in Nokia Ad

In the latest series of Nokia adverts showing off the inductive charging, Nokia might have shown off a bit more than Microsoft would have liked. When the phone is set on the charger a screenshot of an active skype call appears on the Lumia 920 as you can see above. From the looks of it the UI shares alot of elements with that of the native dialer, even the inclusion of a switch to bluetooth option. Overall I think it looks pretty great, and would probably look even better on that 720P FFC of the 920.

Didn’t they show it in June already at the developer event? Anyway, its another great addition to have.

LOL!
As they say with cars “there is no replacement for displacement”, the same goes for cameras, there is no replacement for a big sensor.
WTF is that! it looks like a gif… could be cinematic mode?
A little kitty has died… and my eyes are bleeding…
Do not mind, it is Cod3rror.
no, there isn’t.. a tiny BSI sensor can do only so much..
that’s the front camera of another phone
that’s another phone’s front camera
The reason why sites like pocketnow are writing troll articles is because they have a hard time facing the facts; nokia now leads the innovation race.
Exactly. Other sites like the Verge are running a dedicated attack against Nokia, because they easily lead the innovation race in smartphones once again, and because Nokia stepped on a lot of toes today, and hurt a lot of fanboys’ and competitors’ feelings.
It’s so boring now…Nokia is only dependant on what MS wants to show when and how…ridiclious…Nokia you became so boring and lost your soul!
You’d rather them show everything now, and then have it get lost and forgotten amongst all the iPhone 5 hype? Lol
What Nokia and Microsoft are doing is very smart. Intrigue and excite people, but keep them guessing in regards to the details. Then once the iPhone 5 launch occurs, and the hype dies down a bit, release all the details like carriers, dates, pricing and ALL the full features of Windows Phone 8 … release that all at the same time, right before the phones arrive in store shelves. If Nokia and Microsoft do that, and it seems like that’s what they will do, that together with the hype from Windows 8 launching in parallel will just be a huge explosion of hype all at once from Nokia and Microsoft, talking away some attention from the iPhone 5 and all other competitors, and getting all eyes in the smartphone world on them.
i really hope so.
From what I gather it *is* the native call UI. Skype, or any other VoIP protocol is supposed to plug in to the native UI when you get a call or make a call.
ie. It works just like it does on the N9
