Video: Nokia Lumia 920 PureView stabilisation demo – let’s eliminate the shakes!

Remember that video with a girl on the bike. Yes it was filmed on a Nokia Lumia 920 PureView. Now it seems amazing due to the shake reduction in the video.

I was doubtful it was recorded on a new Nokia because it shaked so much. Why would they share a video that made their product look bad. Ah, but today changes everything. Look at how much the shakes are reduced!

I think this will go really far into improving quality of videos. It’s one of my only niggles so far in the 808. It’ll also help substantially in photos. I like the way Nokia’s going about actually improving the quality of the images/videos we produce rather than simply plowing in some numbers.

I’ll keep mentioning this but my DSLR’s pics become rather bad when I switch off stabilisation (no flash). It’s amazing how much stabilisation can improve the image.
