This made me laugh. Not because the Nokia 808 PureView would obviously win the best camera price for Mobile Choice consumer awards, but that PhoneArena says ‘it narrowly edged out SGSIII’. Narrowly? Narrowly? By narrow you mean a gap the size of the Grand Canyon, right? We were talking solely about their camera performance, no?

Somehow 808 didn’t get the best video (maybe it was for playback?) as that went to the HTC OneX.

The best design did NOT go to Apple (it couldn’t really go to any other manufacturer…) but to Nokia of course. This continuously award winning design first seen publicly on the Nokia N9 and of course on the first Lumia (800) has been winning over hearts of Nokia fans and Nokia naysayers in terms of design. The combination of curved black screen that swoops into the unibody polycarbonate body which of course comes in bright vivid colours. No wonder HTCrap decided to clone the Nokia Lumia series so fragrantly!

The 800 apparently was a runner up for best smartphone. If the 800 can get that far, then so much more chance for the 920, eh?

Cheers Sonny for the tip!
