Leak: Asha 206 Dual Sim; Taking Design hints From Lumia

| November 24, 2012 | 10 Replies

What we have here is a supposed leak of an Asha 206, a dual sim candybar with Asha with a keypad instead of full touch, meaning it’s probably aimed at the super cheap end of the market. Interestingly it seems to take some design hints from the Lumia/N9 design with the ceramic plate around the camera; and what might be a ceramic/poly-carbonate back (like the 808 perhaps?), also is it just me or is the glass on the front of the screen curved? (first image)?

    I don’t see a shit!

I don’t think the glass is curved as much as the screen is recessed with a curved bezel.

It has a 2.2 or 2.4 inch screen judging from the proportions, so not really “super cheap” (which would suit the 100 series much better in any case). Probably a more traditional alternative for people who don’t like the Touch & Type Asha 202/203. It might also have 3G, since the 2010 vintage C2-01 (the cheapest Nokia 3G phone) is long due for a replacement. The model number 206 suggests that there will also be a 205 single sim variant.

huh. copying the colours as well might make a nicer looking phone.
