According to technet, Windows Phone has achieved 10% market share in ‘a number of countries’ outselling blackberry in 26 markets and iPhone in 7.

The post notes MS’s shift from being a software company to being a device and services company with products such as Office 365, SkyDrive, Skype and Surface.

Recently, MS has been quoted as saying they don’t need to produce their own (Surface/Xbox Phone) due to their close relationship and influence with Nokia on Lumia.
