Two bits of interesting app news. First up the VLC player team say they’re gonna be working on WP8.

Next up, Instagraph, one of the possibly many 3rd party apps to come on Windows Phone that would allow publishing to Instagram has cleared the Windows Phone Store.

For those who will ask again why all this buzz about Instagram or even a 3rd party app…it’s not about the actual app itself. It’s the social network side. Following other people who share photos similar to the ones you like, you sharing your photos to get connected to other like-minded people or whatever reason you might have for a photo-based social network. Being able to participate by uploading photos is important to quite a few people. Maybe not you, but it’s sufficient for some that they would only consider a platform with that functionality.
