Snapchat coming to Windows Phone via Third Party SwapChat

snapchat

What have we learnt from Instagram? It’s nice if they make an official app but there’s developers out there willing to bask in the attention should 3rd party access be allowed (note how quickly Idstagram/Instance shot to the top of paid apps).

Snapchat is next. I’m soo old school I have no excitement for snapchat when my friends and younger ‘kids’ keep talking about snapchatting this or that. I pretend to know what they’re talking about. Excuse me whilst I go find my pipe and slippers.

Snapchat lets you send pictures/videos to your contacts which then quickly disappear after a set time. Apparently, it can be used like regular texts, just in image form sharing what you’re doing throughout the day (and not just the non-PG stuff you might have heard of). Whilst Snapchat might be working on a client for WP (they asked which OS to work on next some time ago) a third party version might be coming soon. If it fulfils the basics of the snapchat experience then that should be fine.
