GDR2First up, Telstra has posted their latest update statuses for a few devices. Of note, is the four devices shown in the screenshot above. It appears that manufacturers have released WP8 GDR2 to them for carrier testing. The Nokia Lumia 920 is currently being tested, with the Lumia 520’s firmware being delayed for submission until July 26th(which was Friday – so hopefully they are on-track now). (Something I love about Telstra is their road map for updates.)

Next, Vodafone AU have their round-up of Software Update news for the week, and yes, it includes the Nokia Lumia 820 and 720. Sadly, no date is mentioned, but it [the 820 variant] is in “final OTA testing”. Sadly, like the Lumia 520, testing has been delayed for the Lumia 720 due to Nokia not submitting the test firmware to them yet.

Could the delay have something to do with optimisations for the lower RAM of the 720 & 520?

[Excuse the pathetic use of watermarking, using my Surface RT and don’t have a watermark app and paint is pretty restricting when it comes to transparency.]
