Nokia’s YouTube Video Upload App Now Available for All WP8 Lumias

A while back Nokia released a new app for the Lumia 1020 (and other Amber devices) that allows you to upload videos from your gallery straight to youtube, without the need to capture the clip in an app first. A recent update to the app has made it accessible to all  WP8 devices (512Mb too) so be sure to grab it at the link below.

The app has a very simple interface that shows you all your video content in a gallery preview, with the option to view the clips, edit the title and privacy options before uploading. Unfortunately the app has to remain open for the upload to carry through :/ so no background upload support yet.

I uploaded a quick 4 second video sample which took more than I expected (around 10 minutes give or take for 7 Mbs):
